As part of an on-going GIS study of the HK6 excavations, staff cartographer Joel Paulson has created a fourth-dimensional animation above showing the development of the elite cemetery over time according to the evidence available as of June 2013.   The chronology of the HK6 cemetery is incredibly complex. To create a clean animation, we had to make certain assumptions and simplify some of the more problematic areas. All are of course subject to change as new discoveries are made. Nevertheless, the animated sequence is a tremendous aid to visualizing the use and development of this fascinating cemetery.   Updates and refinement of the timeline will be made as new information becomes available.   hk6 map over time - June 2013
